National Anthem Contest

The Omaha Equestrian Foundation will once again offer
a National Anthem contest for high school students to engage the local music community.

To compete in the National Anthem contest for The International Omaha horse sporting event, a soloist or a choir group may submit a videotape of their special talents. The winner will receive a $1,000 prize.

Please complete the National Anthem entry form below. As part of your application, you must submit one acapella rendition (with no voice enhancements or background music). Please upload your video to YouTube and enter the link to your video below.  Studio quality recordings are not necessary and only students who are in good standing at their school can apply.

Applications must be completed and music files must be submitted by Monday, December 2nd, 2014. No late entries will be accepted.

Following the application deadline, a panel of judges will review all of the submissions. All applicants will be notified of their status by email.
The selected finalist must be able to perform at The International Omaha Horse sporting event Friday evening April 10, 2015 at the Century Link Center 455 North 10th Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68154

Should a soloist winner be chosen, they will receive a $1,000 scholarship to any college of their choice. Should a choir group be chosen, they will receive a $1,000 gift to their school’s music department.

Unfortunately, if the guidelines listed above are not followed completely, the applicant will be automatically disqualified.
